MOLLIE BROWN Mrs. Mollie Brown, 77 years, an ‘89er who homesteaded on a farm eight miles southwest of the city at the time of the run, died Wednesday morning at a nursing home. 711 Northwest Eleventh Street. She had been ill since suffering a paralytic stroke three months ago. Mrs. Brown was born Jan. 8, 1863, near Neosho, Mo., and came to Oklahoma from Texas. From her original homestead, she moved to near Moore and came to Oklahoma City about 20 years ago. Her home was at 1612 Marion avenue. Survivors include her husband, B. F. Brown, retired farmer; a daughter, Mrs. H. C. King, 1647 Northwest Second street; three sons, B. E. Burgess, 1647 Northwest Second street; C. M. Burgess, Tuttle, and W. H. Burgess, Wheatland, and two step-sons, R. M. Brown, 1930 West Park place, and J. D. Brown, San Antonio, Texas. Rites will be at 4 p. m. Thursday at the Garrison chapel, with burial in Wheatland cemetery.
