Capital Democrat, Tishomingo, Okla. July 29, 1948 LAST TRIBUTE PAID MRS. R. C. BURGESS Last rites for Mrs. Ruthie C. Burgess, 82, long time Coleman resident, were held at three o'clock Monday afternoon at the Coleman school house with the Church of Christ minister officiating. Death came to the early Johnston county settler after five months of illness. She had lived in Coleman thirty years. Mrs. Burgess was born in Topeka, Kansas, April 6, 1866. Her parents were Richard Cox and Susie Welch. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
