Helen Jedlicka (50044025) Suggested edit: Helen Jedlicka, 80, of Lincoln, formerly of Columbus and Leigh, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at Milder Manor in Lincoln. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Leigh with the Rev. Mel Wiese officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Wilson, rural Clarkson. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary today at Miller Funeral Home in Clarkson. Visitation will continue from 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Mrs. Jedlicka was born Dec. 23, 1922, at Leigh to Frank and Hedvicka (Janousek) Machacek Sr. She attended school in rural Stanton County. She married Albert Jedlicka on Sept. 30, 1941, at Wilson. Her husband died in 1943. She lived in the Leigh area until 1976 when she moved to Columbus. She then moved to Lincoln in 1999. She worked at Becton-Dickinson in Columbus for 25 years. She retired on July 1, 1985. Survivors include one son, Robert (Penney) Jedlicka of Lincoln; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Adella Srb of Madison; two brothers, Frank (Cecelia) Machacek Jr. of Norfolk and Charles (Marilyn) Machacek of Leigh; and one sister-in-law, Gladys Machacek of Leigh.
