"EDDIE LOUISE COTHREN, Robert Massie Funeral Home. The angels were singing and the golden bells were ringing as Eddie Louise Smith Cothren returned to her heavenly home on Sunday, June 1, 2003. Those to welcome her home were her husband, A. E. Cothren; daughter, Helen Patronyk; son, E. J. Cothren; her parents, Elder and Ella Mae McIntosh Smith; her sisters, Flora Mae Smith and Opal Farris; and her brothers, Otho and Boyd Smith. Those who embraced her and tenderly let her go were her daughters, Dorothy Leverett and husband, Bob, and Louise Robison and husband, Robert, and sister, Aline Williams, all of San Angelo; her brother, Wayne Smith and wife, Margaret, of Mertzon; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Eddie was a faithful wife and loving mother who raised her children to be honest in their dealings with their fellow man. She taught them of a loving father in heaven. Mother, we miss you, and you will always be in our hearts until we join you again. Family visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, at the Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 4 in Fairmount Cemetery with Ernest Denison of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating.
