He md 1st 12 Oct 1924 Brown Co, TX to Eddie Louis Smith, d/o Elder & Ellie Mae McIntosh Smith; md 2nd aft 1926 to Ella Mae Wiley, d/o John & Ella Bridges Wiley. "The Galveston Daily News," October 13, 1985. "La Marque -- Dewitt Weir, 76, died Friday at St. Mary's Hospital in Galveston. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Church of Christ in Bald Prairie, Texas. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery in Robertson County, under the direction of Emken-Linton Funeral Home of Texas City. Mr. Weir was born March 16, 1909, in Bald Prairie. He was retired from a trucking company and was a member of the Elks Lodge. Survivors include his two sons, Harold Weir of LaMarque and Nolan Roger Weir of Pointblank, Texas; a daughter, Helen Patronik of San Angelo, two brothers, J. C. Weir of Jal, N.M. and Lloyd Weir of Texas City; two sisters, Pearl Carson of Calvert, Texas, and Susie Mae Rambo of San Antonio, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Visitors may call at the funeral home after 8 a.m. today."
