Horace Eugene "Gene" Odom, 82, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Service: 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Gene was always that person who made others feel better about themselves. He was a true family man who was described as always putting the needs of his family before anything else. Along with the love of his family, Gene enjoyed ranching, watching the Dallas Cowboys and professional golf. He will be missed by many. Survivors: Wife, Dovie Odom; children, Cindy Nave and Tim Odom; four siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews. Published in Star-Telegram on March 4, 2010
