Mrs. Karel Coufal Marie Zak Coufal came from _________ (Czech) and saw many changes. Her life started when people were living pretty much like they did in BC other than print and railroads. during her life the following were invented: photograph, telephone, auto, airplanes, radio, etc. and she used all of them other than the airplane which she did see. She probably even heard about television. Marie lived to be 92 years old. In 2012 she is still the longest living ancestor that I know of. In 1940 my mother Hannah Srb Hultquist was hoping for a five generation photo when my brother was born. And a few months before he was born Marie died - no five generation photo. (Marie died September 1940, Frances, Agnes, Hannah, Joe born March 1941.) In the obituary listed is Mrs Frank Rerucha of Toledo, Ohio. In earlier years this was Mary Coufal Krenk / Mrs. Frank Krenk of Dwight, Nebraska. Also listed are Mr. and Mrs. Van Larsen. Martha/Marty Sabata Larsen was a daughter of Frances Coufal Sabata of Dwight, Nebraska. Mary Krenk and Frances Sabata were Coufal sisters. Be sure to go to Marie's husband Karel Coufal and read and look at and read the photos listed there.
