Alice A. Chromy, 95, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair Nebraska. Alice Nesladek was born Feb. 15, 1914, by Morse Bluff Nebraska to Frank and Anna (Beranek) Nesladek. She married Joseph F. Chromy Nov. 22, 1938, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cedar Hill, Morse Bluff Nebraska. They were married 57 years. Joseph died Jan. 7, 1996. They lived near Linwood, Valley and Colon then moved to North Bend Nebraska. She later lived in Arlington, and finally in Blair. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, Joseph Jr.; brothers, Adolph, Joseph, and Edward Nesladek; sister, Emma Heinemann; sons-in-law, Donald Nelson and Hilbert Stieren. Funeral Mass Thursday at St. Charles Catholic Church in North Bend with the Rev. Ronald Battiato officiating. Burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery at Cedar Hill.
