The Edgar Sun (Edgar, NE) Thu. Oct 7, 1965 - Pg 5 Obituary, Horacek-- Rudolph Horacek, was born May 2, 1878, at Bruno, Bohemia, and departed this life at his home in Sterling, Colo., Sept 21, 1965. Mr. Horacek was a Spanish American War veteran. Surviving him are his wife, Josie; a daughter, Mrs. E. W. Smith; and a son Edward Horacek of Fairfield, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sept. 24 at Walters Funeral Home with Rev. Erwin P. Boeff officiating. The V. F. W. was in charge of the graveside military services. Burial was in Sunset Gardens at Sterling.
