PHELAN E. ALLEE SR., 87 died Thursday, January 22, 2010. He was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII. He survived the sinking of the USS Liscombe Bay, serving as the ship's survivor's chaplain. Phelan was awarded the Purple Heart and cherished his shipmates' reunion every year. Mr. Allee is survived by his wife, Dorothy and their four sons, Phelan, Jr., Roy, Kent and Morris Allee; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; one brother; one sister and countless family and friends who will miss his charismatic personality and witticism. The funeral service will be 9:30 AM, Tuesday, January 26, 2009 at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, TX. Interment will be in the VA Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
