Services for Ben B. Osburn, 81,an Estelline resident 9 years, who died Tuesday at St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo, were held at 10:30 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church. Rev. Cliff Niles, pastor, officiated, and burial was in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Osburn, born Sept. 20, 1892 in Marion, Ala., was a retired farmer. He married Rosie Ethel Stone in 1915 at Marion. They came to Estelline from Detroit, Tex. Mr. Osburn was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ben Clifford of Eagle Nest, N.M., and Ben B. Jr., of Clarendon; six daughters, Mrs. Lena Freeze of Estelline, Mrs. Ocie Lee Biby of Memphis, Mrs. Nina Nelson of Amarillo, Mrs. Veda McKay of Bovina, Mrs. Mary Ida Blythe of Houston, Mrs. Rosie Nell Smith of Edmonson; 34 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Pall bearers were: Ross Freeze, Oscar Walker, Ronnie Osburn, Maxey Osburn, Johnny Stone and Larry McKay. Honorary pall bearers were: Travis Morrison, Z.C. Lathram, Leon Collins, Gerald Fowler, E.G. Simeon and Paul Collins.
