MULESHOE — Veda McKay, 93, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, in Huntsville, Ala. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Bovina Cemetery in Bovina. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe. Ms. McKay was born Aug. 7, 1922. Survivors include a son, Larry McKay of Athens, Ala.; a daughter, Wanda Thurman of Paint Rock; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. (Published in Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 2, 2015) Graveside Service for Veda McKay, age 93, of Athens, is scheduled for 3:00 PM, Friday, December 4, 2015 at Bovina Cemetery with Bryan Mullins of Bovina officiating. Veda passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Brookshire Nursing Home in Huntsville, Alabama. Veda was born August 7, 1922 in Red River County, Texas to Benjamin and Rosie Osburn. Her funeral service was Friday, November 27, 2015 at Sardis Springs Baptist Church with Tim Keenum officiating. Veda is survived by one son, Larry McKay and his wife, Frances of Athens, Alabama; one daughter, Wanda Thurman and her husband, Bill of Paint Rock, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
