EATONTON — Cecil C. Butler, 96, passed away on January 15, 2010. Mr. Butler retired from Georgia Kraft in Macon, GA in 1975. He was an avid gardener and fisherman. Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Verdell, two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his son, Tom (Marcia) Butler of Eatonton, GA; and his daughter Carol (Rod) Kruse of Longwood, FL; sister-in-law, Marie Christie; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Pallbearers: Tim, Bryan, Daniel Butler, Weston Kruse, Anthony Avvento, Brett Wylie and Stephen Reed. - The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, January 17 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel in Eatonton. Services will be held at 10A.M. on Monday, January 18 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel. Burial will follow at 2P.M. in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Macon. Vining Ivy Hill Chapel, Eatonton, is in charge of the arrangements.
