Bobbie Joe Lucas, 81, of Litchfield died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at Ravenna Good Samaritan Center. Bobbie was born April 1, 1928, in Sherman County to Roy and Ethel (Doty) Lucas. Bobbie married Esther Reese on April 14, 1949 in Loup City. Survivors are: wife, Esther Lucas of Litchfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathie and Kenneth Eberle of Ansley and Karen and Steven Avery of Minden; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Kristy Lucas of Litchfield and Randy and Cheryl Lucas of Mason City; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and sister and brother-in-law, Maude and Archie Roberts of Ansley. Bobbie received his education in Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High School. Bobbie and Esther farmed near Litchfield before moving to Litchfield in 1974. He farmed, worked at Litchfield Pack, the Loup City Sale Barn and Kearney Livestock. Bobbie loved fishing and hunting. Bobbie was preceded in death by six brothers.
