Bio

Herald Coaster, December 14, 1966: Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Sopchak Foster, 40, were held from the Triska Chapel in Rosenberg at 8:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, followed by Requiem Mass at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 9 a.m., with Msgr. J.J. Tydlacka officiating. Mrs. Foster was born in Rosenberg on Aug. 30, 1926. She passed away in a Galveston hospital following a long illness. Survivors are two sons, Carl and Raymond of Houston; seven brothers, Frank and Bill Sopchak of Rosenberg, John of Port Arthur, Louis, Martin, and Joe of Houston, and Paul of New Jersey; three sisters, Mrs. Rosie Schneider, Mrs. Margie Zurek, and Mrs. Clara Gregory, all of Houston. Pallbearers were Charlie Rychlik, Mike Krolczyk, Raymond Zurek, Anton Janczyk, Arthur Gregory, and Raymond Sopchak. Interment was made in the West Garden of Gethsemane.
