Bio
Clara Sopchak Gregory, 93, of Spring Texas passed away peacefully on March 14th, 2022. Born October 23, 1928 to the late Anton & Josephine Sopchak of Rosenberg, Texas. She was the 9th of 13 children. Born and raised in Rosenberg, she later met and married her husband Arthur Gregory and moved to Houston to start their life together. Clara and Arthur were married for 55 years and raised 6 children together. Later moving to Spring, Arthur and Clara were one the founding families of the St. Edward Catholic Community. An active member of the St. Edward Community, Clara volunteered and served for many organizations over the years. She held several positions within the St. Edward Senior Saints and the Houston Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston Senior Senate where she received an award from the Texas State Senate as an Outstanding Senior Adult. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur, and four of their children: sons, James Gregory, Mark Gregory and Doug Gregory, and their daughter Mary Gregory Scott and her husband Ken, and 12 of her brothers and sisters. She leaves behind two daughters, Carol and husband Tony Walker, Angela and husband Steve Flynn, along with 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be March 22nd at St. Edward Catholic Church, 2601 Spring Stuebner Rd., Spring, TX 77389. Visitation 9:30 a.m. – 10:15 a.m., Rosary 10:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., Catholic Funeral Mass 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the St. Edward Life Center. Interment will be March 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at Houston National Cemetery. Addison Funeral Home
