Herald Coaster, April 2, 1982: Funeral services for Frank S. Sopchcak, 61, of Rosenberg, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg, with Msgr. Robert Barzyk officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery. Sopchak died Thursday in Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. He was a World War II veteran and was employed by the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District. A rosary will be recited 8:15 Friday at Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg. He is survived by his wife, Anna of Rosenberg; two daughters, Barbara Wleczyk and Jane Halas of Rosenberg; one son, David F. Sopchak of Rosenberg; two sisters, Rosie Snider and Clara Gregory of Spring; six brothers, Bill Sopchak of Rosenberg and John Sopchak, Louis Sopchak, Martin Sopchak, Joe Sopchak, and Paul Sopchak, all of Spring; and four grandchildren. Funeral arrangements by Davis Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
