Born in the village of Hrotovice, Moravia, Czech Republic. '''''''''''' The Brainard Clipper (Brainard, Nebr.), November 4, 1915, p. 4, col. 2 Frank O. Divis died at his home near Success Sunday night, from consumption, at the age of 44 years. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at the Catholic church in Loma, conducted by Rev. Father Klein. Remains were interred in the Loma cemetery. Services were largely attended by sympathizing friends. Mr. Divis and family were old time residents of Oak Creek and had lived for a number of years on a farm near Loma, which he sold a year ago and purchased a farm near Success where they moved in February. He was a well respected citizen. __ col. 1 Quite a number from Brainard and vicinity attended the funeral services of Frank O. Divis at Loma Wednesday morning, among whom were Mr. and Mrs. Anton Swanda, Mrs. Duffek, John Roubal, Frank Vrbka, senior and junior, and Adolf Polak. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kocian came from Boyd county to attend the funeral of Mr. Kocian's brother-in-law, Frank O. Divis.
