Obituary provided by Carolyn Brinkmeyer : Herald Coaster, June 4, 1961: Funeral services for Ignac Chaloupka, 75, of Rosenberg, were held from the Brethren Church at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon, with Rev. Gordon Hejl officiating. Mr. Chaloupka was born in Czechoslovakia and came to this country at the age of 14 years. In 1914, he married Miss Francis Elsik in Caldwell. In 1927, he moved to Rosenberg where he resided at the time of his death. He passed away at the Schumann Hospital in East Bernard Tuesday evening following a short illness. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Annie Graef of New Braunfels, Mrs. Mildred Schiller of Rosenberg, and Mrs. Gertrude Sebesta of Fairchilds; one son, Henry of Guy; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; also one brother, Frank, of Rosenberg. Pallbearers were Willie Chaloupka, Edward Chaloupka, John Klinkovsky, Frank Klinkovsky, Fred Chaloupka, and Rudolph Chaloupka. Interment was in the W.O.W. Cemetery with the Triska Funeral Home in charge.
