Obituary provided by Carolyn Brinkmeyer : Rosenberg Herald, May 3, 1946: Funeral services were held for Mrs. Francis Chaloupka, who passed away in a Wharton hospital Monday afternoon, April 22, 1946 at 2:00 p.m., at the Czech Brethren Church, Wednesday afternoon, April 25, 1946, with Rev. E. H. Breseda officiating. Interment was in the W.O.W. Cemetery at Rosenberg. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Rosenberg Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Rudolph Chaloupka, Fred Chaloupka, Frank Chaloupka, Fred Wehring, Charles Schiller, and Arnold Sebesta. Mrs. Chaloupka was born in Washington County April 25, 1879. She was married to Ignac Chaloupka in 1914. They made their home in Burleson County until they moved to Fort Bend County, where they lived until the time of her death. To this union five children were born. The deceased is survived by her husband, Ignac Chaloupka, who lives near Rosenberg; one son, Henry Chaloupka of Guy; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Chaloupka of Richmond, Mrs. Fred Wehring of Fairchilds, Mrs. Charles Schiller of Velasco, and Mrs. Arnold Sebesta of Iowa Colony; one brother, Mr. Elsik of Snook, Texas; and eleven grandsons. Sincere sympathy is extended to the members of the bereaved family.
