An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Friday, November 15, 1957: Funeral services were held at the Evant Funeral Home Thursday, Nov. 7, for Robert A. Moore, 60, who died Nov. 6 in Evant. Rev. Marvin Porterfield conducted the rites, and burial was in Restland Cemetery in Gatesville. Pallbearers were Billy Clary, Alton E. Moore, Joe D. Moore, Herman Culp, Willis Featherston and Bud Massingill. Mr. Moore, a member of the Baptist Church, was married to Miss Lillie Featherston in Gatesville Nov. 11, 1917, and she survives him. Also surviving are one son, Eustace Moore of Waxahachie; two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Eary of Odessa and Mrs. Violet Trigg of Jonesboro; his mother, Mrs. Edgar Moore of Gatesville; eight grandchildren; one brother, T. J. Moore of Gatesville; and seven sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Moran of Hamilton, Mrs. Dora Harrington and Mrs. Zada Culp of Gatesville, Mrs. Jewell Thurman of Hobbs, N. M., Mrs. Nora Massingill of Colorado City, Mrs. Lillie Bell Franklin of Odessa, and Mrs. Wilford Massingill of Claude.
