Rita Ann Cartwright, 76, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Rita was born July 3, 1933, in Gainesville. She lived in Springtown for 38 years. Rita worked as a teacher assistant for Springtown schools for 29 years. She also served as a committee member for Boy Scouts of America, Troop 88. Rita was a member of the Catholic Church and VFW. Survivors: Husband, Henry Cartwright; daughters, Theresa Milburn, Alicia Cartwright, Karla Richardson and husband, Kevin, and Marca Nelson; sons, Wayne Cartwright, Steve Cartwright, Greg Cartwright and wife, Cindy, Larry Cartwright, Eugene Cartwright and wife, De Anna, and Kurt Cartwright; brother, Herb Neu; sisters, Lucille Grabber, Cora Lee Kitten, Marie Macha and Alice Hampton; grandchildren, Tracy, Bobby, Crystal, Brian, Amanda, Tara, Kyle, Richard, Dawyne, Kaleb, Marty, Meagan and Nolan; and great-grandchildren, Aaron, Bobby, Zakry, Micayla, Levi and Allen.
