d/o Adolph and Julia Berkovsky =========================================== Obituary - Fort Bend Herald Published: 26 Dec 2009 Funeral services for Mary Frances Buzek, 90, of Rosenberg, will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, with the Rev. William D. Bartniski officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 27, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Mary was born Jan. 19, 1919, in Hallettsville, to Adolph and Julia Berkovsky. She passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, at Fort Bend Nursing Home in Rosenberg, where she had resided for the last six years. She was a devoted wife and loving mother who chopped and picked cotton, enjoyed gardening, and took pride in caring for her husband and four growing boys. She always welcomed family and friends into her home with a sweet smile, a hearty meal, and fresh home-baked bread and desserts. After her husband's death, she worked for Richmond State School, where she retired after 12 years of service. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Paul Buzek Sr.; parents, Adolph and Julia Berkovsky; son, James Lee Buzek; and sisters: Alma Kanak, Evelyn Albrecht and Viola Mueller. Mary is survived by sons: Jerry Buzek Jr. and wife, Debra, Michael Buzek and wife, Veta, and Edward Buzek and wife, JoAnn, all of Rosenberg; granddaughters: Denise Buzek Schaefer of Seabrook, Ashlee Buzek of Rosenberg, Taryn Wilkinson Jones of Houston, and Brittany Buzek Munoz of East Bernard; great-granddaughters, Madeline Schaefer and Emery Jones; great-grandsons, Anderson Jones and Harrison Jones; many loving nieces and nephews; sisters, Gladys Worthington of Rosenberg and Leona Fagan of Needville; and her devoted lifelong friend, Lucille Rohan of Pleak. Pallbearers will include Gerald Albrecht, Allan Buzek, Chris Grudziecki, Joe Ondrey, Rick Rohan and Bobby Zwahr. Memorial donations in Mary's name may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or to a charity of one's choice.
