Fort Bend Herald, October 25, 2019: On October 22, 2019, Leona B. Fagan, 89, of Needville, Texas, went home to her Heavenly Father at S.P.J.S.T Senior Living. Leona Berkovsky was born April 27, 1930 and was the last of six daughters to parents, Adolph and Julia (Konvicka) Berkovsky, of Pleak, Texas. Leona moved to the S.P.J.S.T Senior Living which became her new home April 2008. She loved her Polka music, making new friends, playing BINGO, and winning an abundance of stuffed animals and Mardi Gras beads. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie; five sisters; and grandson, Austin Bryce Woodfin . Remaining to cherish all the wonderful memories are daughters, Mary Frances Zwahr (Bobby Sr.), Dorothy "Dottie" Somer (Glenn Sr.), Donna Young (Bruce), Kimberly "Kim" Card (James), Sandra Woodfin (John); son, William Fagan; grandchildren, Michelle McClellan (Carl), Bobby "Bubba" Zwahr Jr. (Sherrie), Melissa Hoeffler (Kevin), Glenn Somer Jr. (Kendyl), Taylor Woodfin, Kaitlynn Titman (Bryan), Kody Derner, Karsten Fagan; great-grandchildren, Colin & Cole McClellan, Riley & Logan Hoeffler, Alexis Zwahr, Lennon Mae Leona Somer; along with nieces, nephews, and friends. Special thanks to the staff of S.P.J.S.T Senior Living, especially to Wilma, Pauline and Margie; Vantage Hospice, Lisa, Linda, and Deanna. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019, at 10 a.m. Services will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, with Pastor Ron Shifley officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Leona to S.P.J.S.T, ATTN Wilma Whatley, Activity Director, 8611 Main Street, Needville, TX 77461; or to Vantage Hospice, 21720 Kingsland Blvd., Katy, TX 77450.
