An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum", Thursday, November 18, 1993: Mrs. Bonnie Cleo (Arnold) Fairchild of Fort Gates died at her home Saturday. She was 84. Services will be held today (Thursday) at Eastwood Baptist Church at 1 p.m., with Rev. Brian Dunks and Tim Crosby officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery. She was born November 13, 1909, in San Angelo, daughter of the late Richard S. and Alice Arnold. She graduated from Burnet High School, and married Mr. Perry Swift Fairchild in Brady on December 10,1926. He preceded her in death in 1983. She was very active at Gatesville Senior Center, where she was employed as a receptionist from November 2,1988, until her death. She was treasurer of her Sunday School class at Eastwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Normagene (Penny) Nesuda in 1993, and a sister, Hazel Harper. Survivors include one daughter, Alice Blanchard of Gatesville; two sons, Perry S. Fairchild, Jr. of Temple and Richard S. Fairchild of Saudi Arabia; one brother, Samuel Brooks Arnold of California; 13 grandchildren; and 19 greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers were Randy Blanchard, Chris Blanchard, Michael Nesuda, Sean Fairchild, Perry Swift Fairchild III, and Ricky Whittenburg.
