ALEXANDRIA, Virginia— Normagene Elestia Simmons Nesuda, nee Fairchild, lovingly known as Penny, of Alexandria, Virginia, died September 10, 1993 in Alexandria, VA. Services were held at Grove Hill Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Burial was in Grove Hill Memorial Park. Normagene Elestia Fairchild was born on August 31, 1928, in Mason, Mason County, Texas, to Perry Swift Fairchild and Bonnie Cleo Arnold. In 1951, Normagene Elestia Fairchild married Harold Clark Simmons in Austin, Texas. This marriage ended in divorce, which is something neither had planned. However, this marriage blessed them both with two kind, smart, and beautiful daughters. Normagene Elestia Simmons married Albert Raymond Nesuda on October 10, 1959, in Dallas, Texas. Penny was preceded in death by her father, Perry Swift Fairchild Sr. Survivors include her husband, Albert Raymond Nesuda of Alexandria, Virginia; one son, Michael William Nesuda of Alexandria, Virginia; two daughters, Lisa Karen Simmons of Dallas, Texas, and Scheryle Jann (Simmons) Patigian of Tucson, Arizona; her mother, Bonnie Cleo Fairchild of Gatesville, Texas; a sister, Alice Ann Blanchard of Gatesville, Texas; two brothers, Perry Swift Fairchild Jr. of Temple, Texas; and Richard Fairchild of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and four grandchildren.
