(sic) Snyder, 31, of Superior and Letta Patterson, 24, of Hardy. They were married by County Judge Leslie Noble. ======================== The Superior Express (Superior, NE), Thursday, April 9, 1936; pg. 14 Young Mother and Infant Son Both Taken in Death Lettie La Visa Patterson Snyder and infant son, Loren Joe, departed this life at Chico, Calif., April 2, 1936. Lettie, the daughter of J. W. and S. E. Patterson, was born near Doniphan, Nebr., Aug. 29, 1904. She received most of her education at Hardy, Nebr., where she was graduated in 1922. She attended the state college at Kearney one year. She taught five successful terms of school. On April 10, 1929 she was married to Clark Snyder of Superior, Nebr. Lettie, as she was always called, had a loving disposition and was loved by all who knew her. She always had a smile and kind word for everyone. She was a loving wife and faithful mother. In early childhood she joined the Methodist church (sic) of Hardy of which she remained a faithful member. Most of her life was spent around Hardy until her marriage, after which she lived in Colorado and a year ago moved to California. She leaves to mourn her departure her loving husband, two small daughters, Letty Lou and Phyllis, her mother, five sisters, four brothers, besides a host. of relatives and friends. Her father and three sisters preceded her in death. The pallbearers were her cousins, Floyd Sisson, Lester Allen, John, Arthur, Harold and Myron Ferguson. The flower bearers were Mildred Hayes, Ethel Briggs and Mrs. Jim Hayes. The songs "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," "Whispering Hope" and "Asleep in Jesus" were sung by Mrs. V. R. Wilcox, Mrs. Wilbur Bjorling, Joe Calder and Guy Scott. Funeral services were held Monday at the Methodist church at Hardy with Rev. A. G. Swanson in charge. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery (sic) at Superior.
