Bertie Mae Brown Platt, 78, Lafayette, LA. Funeral services for Bertie Mae Brown Platt were held at 1 pm January 18 at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Herman Hutto officiating. Burial followed at Carter Cemetery near Rockland. Mrs. Platt died January 15 at Lafayette, LA. A native of Bronson, she lived in Vidor before moving to Lafayette 18 y ears ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Platt, Sr. Survivors include her sons, Carl Platt, Jr., of Austin & Tom Platt of Houma, LA; daughters, Sue Mobley of Cold Spring & Annette Hossienie of Garland; brothers, Jack B. Brown, Jr., of Beaumont & Winfred M. Brown of Lafayette, LA; 14 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren. Services under the direction of Riley Funeral Home. Tyler County Booster 2/5/1997
