Bio

Zack, of Beaumont, passed away at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth. A 1945 graduate of French High School, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and was retired from Gulf State Utilities after 40 years of service. He enjoyed playing or watching all kinds of sports. He played football and basketball in high school and after getting out of the service. He played baseball at the fair grounds and basketball at the Y.M.C.A. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Shirley (Falcon) Brown; daughter, Lynne Brown and son, Kirk Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents,Zachary and Ella (Dickerson) Brown; two brothers, J.W. Brown and Winfred Brown, three sisters, Eloise Smyly, Doris Odean Reddell, and Bertie Mae Plott.
