While the act was committed Saturday night, the body was not found until Sunday morning. The aged man left the Pliner home Saturday evening, going toward another house on the same farm. When he did not return, nothing was thought about it, for he often left home to go to Yuba without telling where he was going. Sunday morning, John sent one of his children to a house on the old Braden place to see if his father had possibly remained there during the night. The child found the old gentleman hanging on the porch June 10, 1927 Joseph's parents were Joseph & Anna Hotek Pleiner. They had a total of 9 children. Josephine, James, Anna, Mary, Barbara, Agnes, Frances, John, Joseph. J. Note: The grave stone reads Plainer.
