Graveside services for George Thomas Loden, age 89, of Rusk are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 30, 2013 in Mt. Hope Cemetery with Rev. Don Copeland officiating under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk. Mr. Loden died September 27, 2013 in a Tyler hospital. He was born February 19, 1924 in Rusk to the late Fred and Augusta Woodell Loden. Mr. Loden was a lifelong Rusk resident and a member of the Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army during World War II in 1942-1946 and retired as an industrial insulator. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby E. Loden, his parents, one son, Tommy W. Loden, three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include three sons and two duaghters-in-law, Lynn and Sharon Loden, Mike and Rhonda Loden and Jimmy Loden all of Rusk, one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Eddie Berry of Rusk, thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one brother, John Loden of Rusk, one sister, Gertrude Hinson of Rusk, numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will include Kevin Loden, Jason Loden, Dale Berry, Bill Cowan, Tony Thomas and Jeremy Middleton.
