married August Ernest Menzdorf on 7 January 1925, Hamilton County TX Marriage Records, Bk. 8, page 421. Obituary: (Hamilton Herald-News, June 15, 2000) Gertrude Menzdorf, 94, of Garden Ridge died in Converse, TX. Funeral services were held June 12 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville with the Rev. Douglas J. Schoelles and the Rev. Peter K. Anderson officiating. She was married to August Ernest "Tucker" Menzdorf on Jan 7, 1925 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Shive, TX. He preceded her in death on Jan 10, 1972. Mrs. Menzdorf was a retired cafeteria manager for Odessa Public School System. She was a member of Triumphant Lutheran Church in Garden Ridge and was active with many church activities, especially when she lived in Odessa and was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Curtis Menzdorf; three brothers, Adolph, August and O.L. Witzsche and four sisters, Ella Menzdorf, Ida Napier, Lucy Witzsche and Dora Spivey. Survivors include her daughter, Verda Marie Montoya; a sister, Edna Robertson; a brother, Paul Witzsche; two grandsons; a granddaughter; a great-grandson. Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home
