Bio
Verda Marie Montoya was born as Verda Marie Menzdorf in Hamilton, Texas on January 29th, 1938. She gave generously from the heart to her church, family and friends throughout her time on earth. After a full and wonderful life, she went to be with the Lord on February 6th, 2008. She will be remembered and missed by many. Verda is survived by her husband Andrew M. Montoya, her children Robert D. Montoya, Mark A. Montoya, Sandra Lynn Boswell and one grandson, Andrew E. Yoder. There will be a visitation on Monday, February 11th, 2008 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with the family receiving guest starting at 6:00 PM at the Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home located in New Braunfels, Texas. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday February 12th, 2008 at 9:00 AM at the Triumphant Lutheran Church located on 21315 Bat Cave Rd. in Garden Ridge, Texas. There will also be a second service at the Trinity Lutheran Church located in Pottsville, Texas on Tuesday February 12th, 2008 at 2:30 PM followed by burial at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. The family request donations be given to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
