Beaumont Enterprise, The (TX) - Wednesday, October 30, 2002 Murphy Julius Gill, 97, of Buna died Monday, October 28, 2002, at Buna Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 31, at E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Buna with burial at Antioch Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A native of Merryville, LA, he had lived in Buna most of his life and was a retired Oiler in the Sawmill industry. He also worked many years at Mixson Feeds in Buna and did maintenance work for Buna Nursing Home. He is survived by 4 sons, Armon Gill of Buna; Carmon Gill of West, MS; Murphy Dean Gill of Garfield, AR; and Bradley Gill of Silsbee; 4 daughters, Betty Shofner of Buna; Barbara Weeks of Buna; Beverly Munnerlyn of Tiller, AR; and Sarah Nobles of Honey Grove; 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
