Bio

Thelma W. Ardoin, 84, of Henderson died Saturday, April 6, 1996, at Henderson Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, April 8, at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, LA, with burial in Whitaker Cemetery. A native of Ludington. LA, she lived in DeRidder most of her life before moving to Henderson 20 years ago. She was a housewife. Survivors include daughters, Frances Pond of Diana, Alice Bailey of DeRidder, Helen Dearborn and Catherine Stroud, both of Vidor and Ester David of Henderson; sons,Jerry, Charley, Samuel Joyner of Henderson; two sisters, Nettie MeMullen of Dallas and Bessie Garrison of Springfield, MO; a brother, Murph Gill of Buna; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. All trash must be removed - no trash (bottles, cans, garbage, etc.) is to be thrown into the lake. There are no restroom facilities on any Lake Lorraine property. Please refrain from using the peninsula for "mother nature" calls. Others walk and fish on the property. Copie from the obituary collection at Buna Public Library.
