The use of "Jr." for Jake Nelson Rhoades may not be correct. Find A Grave contributor Christine Rhoades # 47700680 provided this information: "He was not a Jr. His dad was Jake Rhoades and he never had a middle name. Therefore Jake Nelson was not a Jr." Since Jake Nelson Rhoades, Jr. is named as the informant for his father Jake Rhoades' Texas Death Certificate and his tombstone also contains Jr., I am using the name of Jake Nelson Rhoads, Jr. for his memorial, with the following caveat. Occasionally sons with the same or similar names as their father were identified in their communities or even their families as Jr., even though the father and son did not share the same full name. I believe that is the case with Jake Nelson Rhoades and his father.
