Mrs. Julia Janek Of West Dies; Rites Held Mon. Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Janek of West were held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, July 13 in Aderhold Chapel in West, Rev. George Bonhard officiating with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Mrs. Janek died at 4:30 a.m. Friday, July 10 at her home. She was 77. Mrs. Janek was born at Tours on Nov. 25, 1886, and she had lived in West since 1943. She came to West from the Mt. Calm-Penelope area where she was engaged in farming and ranching for 40 years until her retirement in 1943. She was a member of SPJST Lodge No. 54 in West. Survivors include three sons, Ben Janek of West, Lionel Janek of Waco, and Stanfield Janek of Elm Mott; two daughters, Mrs. Dan Gerlich of Santa Maria Calif., and Mrs. Joe Pinter of West; one sister, Mrs. Joe Cinek of Ross; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons: Sam Pinter, Roland Janek, Stanfield Janek, Jr., Ernie Janek, Robert Cinek and Edward Cinek, Jr. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 74, No. 12, Edition 1, Friday, July 17, 1964, page 1.
