Leo C. Wrbas, 73, of Hubbard, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 1987 in a Wado hospital. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at the Catholic Church of Nativity B.V.M. in Penelope, with Rev. William Spong as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mr. Wrbas was born May 5, 1914 in We3st and had lived in Hubbard for the past 47 years. He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Nativity in Penelope, Knights of Columbus Council No. 2305 in West, and President of KJT Society No. 50 in Penelope. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a film projectionist at the Hubbard Theater for several years and was employed at Creditors Manufacturing Co. for several years in Hubbard. He was married to Sophia Sulak January 29, 1940 in West. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Eugenia Goldman of Mount Airy, MD., Marcia Leyendecker of Austin and Sharyn Hall of Harker Heights; two brothers, Otto Wrbas of Houston and Henry Wrbas of Pittsburgh, PA.; one sister, Wilma Altus of Leroy; five grandchildren and one cousin, Mrs. Gene (Marie) Horak. Pallbearers were Johnny J. Gaidusek, Jr., Tomas Sulak, Jospeh Cepak, Tommy Altus, Ronnie Hall, Alfred Marak, Jr., and Cyril M. Sulak. Honorary pallbearers were members of KJT Society #50 of Penelope.
