Annie (Kapczynski) Vrba, age 92, of Sherman, passed away Saturday morning, September 29, 2018 in McKinney. A rosary will be recited 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018, with Rev. Timothy Vaverek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Annie was born January 4, 1926, in West, the daughter of Vincent and Annie (Soukup) Kapczynski. She was a graduate of St. Mary's School and West High School. On February 4, 1956, she was united in marriage to Ermin A. Vrba in West. Ermin preceded her in death on January 5, 2013. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sherman. She was also a member of the KJZT Society #31 in West. Annie worked at Lichnovsky Grocery, West Cotton Mill, Safeway, and she worked for Burlington Industries for over 30 years. Annie enjoyed reading mystery novels and cooking. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Annie is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Vincent "Copper", Roman and Raymond Kapczynski; and an infant sister, Cecilia Kapczynski. Survivors include her children, Ermin "Tony" Vrba Jr. of Sherman and Donna Mobley and husband Mark of Allen; a brother, Ben Kapczynski and wife Jeanne; grandchildren, Meagan Naramore and husband Michael, Ben Mobley and wife Megan, Zach Mobley and wife Emilie; great-grandchildren, Naomi, Leah, Brandon, Maddison, and Nathan; sisters-in-law, Nona Jean Kapczynski, Georgia Kapczynski, and LaVerne Kapczynski; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Active pallbearers are Ben Mobley, Zack Mobley, Michael Naramore, Scott Kapczynski, Stanley Vrba Jr and Vincent Kapczynski Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Susi West, Annette Waddell, Darrell Kapczynski, Diane Schuetze, Denise Vasicek, Ronald Howell, Pam Vrba, Melissa Vrba, Melinda Vrba, and the Pierce Family.
