Bio

Mrs. Rosalia Vrana, 86, died on February 13, 1956, at 7:30 a.m. She had made her home in West for 37 years. Funeral services were held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, February 16, at the Church of Assumption. Father George Doskocil officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold's Chapel. She was the widow of Innocence Frank Vrana. She was born on March 3, 1869, in High Hill, Texas, the daughter of John and Maryanna Opelia. Survivors are six sons, Albert, Jim, John, and August, all of West; Justin of Lemoore, California, and Julius of Watsonville, California; two daughters, Mrs. Angeline Kahanek, Houston, and Mrs. Rosie Smith of Dallas; one brother, Adolph Opella of El Campo, and one sister, Mrs. Agnes Jalufka of Hallettsville; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
