Joe Frank Tobola, Sr., age 62, of 504 Meadow Drive, died Sunday, Aug. 21 at the V.A. Hospital in Temple. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 23 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, the Rev. B.J. Zientek as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Tobola was born April 9, 1921, in West and had lived in the area most of his life. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He worked for Youngblood, Inc. in Waco for 20 years, later working for the City of West for 1 1/2 years. He was a member of SPJST Lodge No. 54 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4819, both in West. He was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bessie Tobola of Waco; a son, Joe F. Tobola, Jr. of Waco; a daughter, Cindy Klepper of Waco; a brother, Ernest Tobola of West; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Moore and Mrs. Mary Rejcek, both of Waco; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ernest Tobola, Jr., Bernard Chudej, Dennis Moore, Gary Moore, Darnell White and Joe Steinocher.
