Bio

Barbara F. Sulak, age 89 of Arlington, formerly of Elm Mott, passed away April 8, 1999 in a Arlington nursing home. A rosary was recited at 8 p.m. April 9 in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. April 10 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bellmead, with Rev. Timothy Vaverek as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Sulak was born December 21, 1909 in Eddy, Texas and had lived in Aquilla for a number of years. She had been a resident of Elm Mott for 27 years before moving to Arlington four years ago. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bellmead and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court #1729 of Bellmead. She married Phillip Sulak October 22, 1929 in West. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1988. Mrs. Sulak is survived by two sons, Martin Sulak of Bellmead and Alois Sulak of Arlington; five daughters, Theresa Svehlak of Ennis, Barbara La Gesse, Beatrice Yale, Rose Marie Jezek and Veronica Craven, all of Arlington; a daughter-in-law, Elvia Sulak of Bellmead; a brother, Frank Futch of Floresville, Texas; 26 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren.
