Bio

Mrs. Vince (Angeline) Sula, 85, a longtime resident of West, died Tuesday morning, May 19, in West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, the Rev. Bob Hajovsky as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Sula was born in Moravia, Czechoslovakia. She came to the United States in 1903 at age 7 with her parents. She lived in the West area most of her life. Mrs. Sula was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court 829, SPJST Lodge 54, and the Altar Society. Her husband, Vince Sula, died in 1959. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. John Lee (Helen) Hruska of Laguna Park, Mrs. Hugh (Lillian) Law of Austin, and Mrs. Don (Margaret) Depew of Gunnison, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Walter J. Vanzura, Larry Vanzura, William Vanzura, Johnny Mazanec, Beason Taggart, and Milford Pustejovsky.
