August Peters, Local Tailor, ...*Dies August Alois Peters, age 54, was found dead at his home here early Monday morning...* Deceased was born in Czechoslovakia on December 10, 1878 and had been a resident of this country for many years. He was well known throughout this section, being employed as a tailor here for some time and for a number of years was in the tailoring business. Funeral services were held at the Catholic Cemetery at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 3rd, Rev. E.J. Polcak in charge. Survivors are his widow; two sons, Eddie of Honolulu and August of West; three daughters, Mrs. John Rendek and Misses Lidia and Margaret, all of West; one brother, Joe Peters of Prague, Oklahoma. *News article edited The West News, West, Texas, Volume 43, No. 32, Edition 1, Friday, January 6, 1933, page 1.
