Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Pavelka, age 59, of Abbott, passed away late Tuesday night, March 2, 1993 at her residence. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Msgr. George Doskocil. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Pavelka was born December 26, 1933 in Hill County, the daughter of Louis and Christine Cepak, Sr. She married Robert W. (Bob) Pavelka on August 1, 1953 in Abbott. She was a dietician for West Community Hospital for the past 15 years. She previously worked for Keen's Department Store in West. She was also a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the K.J.Z.T. Society No. 104 in Abbott, the Catholic Daughters of America Court No. 829 in West; and SPJST Lodge No. 66. She was also a Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Pavelka of Abbott; one son, Shannon Pavelka of Abbott; three daughters, Pamela Story of Waco, Dana Lewis of Dallas, and Colette Gordon of Brownwood; two brothers, Marvin Cepak of Waxahachie, and Louis Cepak, Jr. of Abbott; one sister, Rose Marie Hlavenka of Spring; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Mark Pavelka, Gene Edward Pavelka, Ernest Kutcherousky, David Hlavenka, Joe Veselka and Paul Cepak. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
