Mrs. Frank (Mary) Nors, age 87 of West, passed away early Thursday morning, September 7, 2000 at West Rest Haven. A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Nors was born September 10, 1912 in Tokio, the daughter of John and Mary Novak. She attended schools in Tokio. She married Frank J. Nors on November 8, 1932 in West. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1980. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was a member of K.J.Z.T. Society No. 11, Catholic Daughters of America Court No. 829, St. Anne's Altar Society and St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She is also preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Frances Juroch, who died August 27, 1975. She is survived by two sons, John Nors and his wife Joyce, and Bill Nors and his wife Beatrice, all of West; one daughter, Helen Vrba and her husband Ray of Mesquite; two sisters, Christine Chudej and Lillie Chudej, both of West; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were her 12 grandsons, Joe Juroch III, James Juroch, Tim Nors, Mike Petter, Richard Nors, R.T. Thornton, Jimmie Mauppin, Ray Mercer, Mark Marotta, Mike Gerik, Jimmy Muhl and Dennis Knapp. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
