Bio

Mary Ann (Laubert) Miller, age 101, of West, passed away late Thursday evening, July 13, 2017 at her residence. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Will Straten as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mary was born December 5, 1915 in West, the daughter of Josef and Fannie (Schmid) Laubert. She attended St. Mary's School in West. On January 12, 1942 she was united in marriage to Willie Miller in West. Willie preceded her in death on April 7, 1972. Mary was a homemaker and mother. She also worked at several places including the West Cotton Mill, Village Bakery, Lorch Manufacturing, Old Corner Drug Store and West Bank & Trust. Mary was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She enjoyed cooking, embroidering, dancing and listening to Czech Music. Mary is also preceded in death by her parents; sons, Billy Joe Miller and Jerry Miller; daughter, Mary Ann Gatlin; a grandson, Tyrel Gatlin; a brother, Wencil Laubert; and sisters, Katherine Michalewicz and Anne McClure. Survivors include her children, James Miller and wife Patricia of Hillsboro, Roger Miller of Palmer, Robert Miller and wife Susan of Hillsboro, Ganora Miller of China Springs and Patrick Miller of West; 16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are David Miller, Andy Miller, Wes Miller, Jerry Miller, Patrick Miller and Jimmy Covey. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Miller, Darrell Gatlin and Mathieu Gatlin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church. Aderhold Funeral Home, West, Texas
