Jerry A. Mashek, Jr., age 44, of Dallas and formerly of West died Thursday, April 2, 1992 at his residence. Rosary was recited by Msgr. George Doskocil, 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel, West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 3 p.m. Sunday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West with Rev. John Molnar, as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mr. Mashek was born May 9, 1947 in West and had lived in Dallas for the past 25 years. He graduated from West High School in 1965 and attended Hill Jr. College in Hillsboro. He graduated from North Texas State University of Denton in 1970. Mr. Mashek was employed by motion industries in Dallas for 18 years as a computer operator, and was a member of St. Mary's Church in West. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Mashek, Sr., who died December 19, 1973. Survivors include his mother, Mary E. Mashek of West; two brothers, Larry Mashek of Dallas and Joe A. Mashek of West; two sisters, Betty Ingram of Scottsdale, Arizona and Margie Davis of Italy, Texas; two nieces and four nephews. Pallbearers were Sam Soukup, Jim Gaynier, David Scott, Clint Mashek, Curt Mashek, Mike Polasek and Charlie Smajstrla. Kotch Funeral Home of West was in charge of arrangements.
