Bio

Philomena Marek, age 89 of 507 W. Columbus in West died Thursday morning, May 19, 1988 at her residence. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. May 20 in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel, West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. May 21 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Msgr. Ray Widacki as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery, West. Miss Marek was born August 1, 1898* near West and lived in the West area all of her life. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West and the Altar Rosary Society. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were: Johnny Hynek, Joe Marek, Jodie Pavlicek, Frank Mach, Joe Beseda and Eugene Pustejovsky.
