Joe Machovsky, 78, Dies; Rites Held Tuesday Joe E. Machovsky, 78, of Route 2, West, died early Sunday morning in the local hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Monday at Kotch Funeral Chapel in West. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Machovsky was born in West and lived here all of his life. He was a retired farmer and an employee of the West Flour Mill. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and KJT Society No. 31. He married the former Bertha Cepak on July 26, 1919 in West. Survivors include his wife; a son, Joe F. Machovsky of Route 2, West; two sisters, Mrs. Millie Hornak and Mrs. Rosie Kocuba, both of West; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Raymond Machovsky, Bernard Machovsky, James Machovsky, George Christensen, Albert Hornak and Frankie Cepak.
